I know what you're on about. Many have mentioned it, I have. It always gets decent feedback yet it will probably never be implemented IMO. I do think it should be as it is an official rule of snooker. Since this is snooker why isn't it in?

Unfortunately its not the easiest thing to implement as every possible vector of the white has to be checked to ensure that both sides of a red (or ball on or combination of reds) can not be hit - this is particularly difficult if the white was potted since every possible position in the 'D' has to be considered. Also, it would require nominating a ball (which you are not allowed to snooker behind). All in all it is a huge amount of work and thus very low on the list I would suspect.

Threads get automatically archieved (capped) after 6 months of inactivity. And now you post on it after 5 months. Sad if you ask me.

Now a mod will have to cap it.

Any more thoughts on this idea? Since its back up, it might as well be used..

buddytobud has said it all, way to much work involved for such a small improvement.
