In answer to your original question before you edited.
People have always said gg wp all yours like you said before. They may be trying to put you off but its always been like that and always have.
Why did you edit anyway?

Because my complaint made me sound as pathetic as those that do it. At least I'm honest.

I don't like it either. I would like to have a pool-bar / snooker club style attitude for people with the appropriate etiquette - saying "gg" or "all urs" before the end really would mean you'd concede the game.
However there's no way this can occur - so I suggest simply leaving the room and finding a more personable opponent.

Maybe having a "gg" button in which hands the other player the game if they accept it, so if they really mean it they can use that, and then if they just write it you know what they are really saying.

Not keen on that idea. What if you accidently click it, you would be annoyed.

That's a good idea right there.

But what if you accidently click the white flag aswell? Same thing really and thats still there.
Problem with this though, is that it still doesn't stop people just typing it though.

Just concentrate on the game and not whats been said. No-one is forcing anyone to use the chat. Might seem rude if you ignore your opponent. But its not a rule that you have to not ignore.
I think people just use someone saying "gg" puts them off and makes them miss, is just an excuse. You see it every day when someone looses, they always need an excuse. Happens in football loads lol. Just look at the semi finals at the weekend. (Didnt see moyes or hiddink complain about the pitch).
I've managed to go on and win when it has been said. Why cant others?

"Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger and David Moyes were unhappy with the pitch for last weekend's FA Cup semi-finals."
On topic, it is frustrating when people say "gg wp all yours" etc. . before the game is won, but there isn't much that can be done other than put your opponent on ignore. And i agree with lfc_lad, it doesn't really put you off at all. Just ignore it and play your own game.

Ideally we shouldn't be rude, either ignoring or trying to put off opponents. When you play in real life it's traditionally quite an honest sporting affair, from playing pool against a stranger in a bar to a cash snooker competition.
I doubt that saying "gg" before the game end actually puts people off or that people have used it as an excuse when they miss.
I like to chat and play in a relaxed sporting atmosphere and I'd like the site to try and reflect this - though enforcing conduct is not realistic!

Its different in real life, if i'm in a important pool game and something I do is annoying a player I will do it abit more lol (I won't go out though looking for things to annoy a player) same in a game of poker just keep imtimidating the player you most fear untill he starts to throw his money away,
At the end of day it wouldnt bother me if I was playing you and you PM'ed me 200 times and wrote 500 lines of chat saying 'gg wp aww nice wd' etc becuase it makes no difference what somebody says when you are taking a shot, all it is is a cheap excuse for a player to say 'This is why I lost'
Also if they say 'gg' and you miss just say to them 'gg' lol it makes no difference that way and if he pots just proves you lost a fair game don't you think?

Moyes did not complain as much about the pitch as fergie did. He mentioned it.
Sorry, back on topic.
