Hi, just had a curious lockup.

The Scenario:

I was playing a guest on original and he potted the final black and apparently immediately left the room. No win notification was given but the countdown timer appeared for the start of the next game. When the beeps went, like a Pavlovian dog, I pressed the start button . This resulted in me sitting there with 'clicked' for me and 'waiting' for him/her as in the following screenshot

Bringing up the Game Rooms dialog showed that the game was not available to join (other than watching of course - which someone did a bit later on so wasn't completely disconnected from the server)

After a while, I tried to leave by going to the Snooker Club but it would not let me out of the room because it thought that the game had already started, as can be seen in this screenshot (also shows other member entering and leaving)

the only option is to log out or ask a moderator to close the room.

this can happen by you pressing watch too early as well.

Thanks - yes, this is a bug in the play on functionality. Your game client believes you have lost, yet the server doesn't know the game has finished. Reopening the game is the only solution at present.

The next area I'm working on is the watch game functionality (ie from any point) and this area will be included in the rewrite.

Does it count as a loss on your profile?

Cheers Nick - can't wait for the 'Watch' update

Guess we'll never know as it was a friendly - but I hope that it does otherwise it would be a loophole in ranked games that might be be open to exploitation by less scrupulous players that have have just been beaten.

No, the result wont count in this case. It's not a loophole though as it's dependent on the winning party disconnecting.
