How about we increase the maximum members allowed in here, seems so the website is getting bigger and its usually completly full how about we make it to 75 or 100?

True enough, it seems it is a must infact. However,if there is a 70:1 ratio of members to mods, then that could create problems, even more so if it is 70:0. Therefore more promotions would be in order, and more time in the bar than playing time.

Disagree with this, as because if 100 is in the members bar and 1 moderator, allsorts can happen and will be very hard to keep it under control. Its hard enough with 50...

Whats the different between 1 mod in members bar where they all start to argue and a seperate 20 start to argue in the snooker club? Don't you think this is a harder situation to deal with

Also nick can make it hold 75 people and just make 5 spots for Mods and Admins only so if it does get out of Control then there can be a guaranteed 5 mods allowed in the room no matter how many members are in

The limit was not just set for moderating purposes, but also for members use of the rooms.

It can be hard enough to follow chat if 5 or 6 people are talking, let alone all 50.

Remember people can chat in the other rooms too!

On pool they have more chat rooms, I think a better solution would be to have a members bar 2

Exactly what i was thinking to be honest. From what i've heard, snooker is alot more popular than pool at the moment. Would be a good idea in my opinion.

Is it really needed? Surely that's essentially what 'snooker club' and 'sports bar' is? Can they not just be used when the members bar is full?
Or maybe just change the name of one of them to 'members bar 2' as both rarely have 1 or 2 members in them. Although i personally can't see the need, i doubt it would be hard to do, even if to just keep people happy

What i'm saying is, we have 3 'members bars' as it is (members, sports and snooker club) with a combined capacity of 150 members. As the majority of members spend time in game rooms rather than in chat rooms anyway, im not so sure that anything more than to re-name a room or two is needed right now.

Yeah i know bud, but when you first log in what room do you get put in? And even when your leaving a game room to join a chat room, which one do you choose to go too?

From memory (although it does fail me from time to time)

The sports bar was set up in response to a thread of people either complaining about the constant football chat interrupting the flow of other chat and vice versa. As far as I know it never got used for that purpose.

The snooker club was always used as a quiet haven and of course we used to have conversations about the current snooker tournament that happened to be on at the time.

This was of course at a time when there was an awful lot of users who used to just sit in the bar and chat.

I'm not sure why they would need re-naming as anyone is free to enter them and chat and we frequently did.

I think it is great that we are having this discussion as it shows that we have a great deal more members using the site

I can remember joining members bar and getting the message "Hint this room is empty try another room for chat"

Edit: The idea of reserving places for Mods/Admin seems like a very good idea particularly if the rooms are full on a regular basis.

Precisely. moderating now is indescribably better than it was a year or so back before the admin merge sorted it all out.

I remember the snooker club being added when the members bar first started filling up, it is in effect *members bar 2* If members is full when you log in or leave a game for chat you go there instead of members.

The main chat room in pool is almost always full and its not uncommon for the members bar (2nd chat room for them) to become full as well. They have always manged fine so no reson a tried and tested system cannot work here as well
