I personally think that arcade tournaments are occuring much more often than original and regular tournaments. I think it would be a good idea making the tournament schedule just like what it is like on funkypool, where you have a different game type every hour of the day
For example

9pm arcade
10pm original
11pm regular
12am arcade
1am original
2am regular
3am arcade
etc...

And just like you have straight pool tournaments 3 times a day, you could possibly do the same to carom tournaments.

I have said this ages ago Trish. But according to the statistics, Nick has done the tournament schedule like it is, based on the popularity of the games.

If original carrys on the way it is, i dont see why more tournaments can't be a possibility.

Yes, that is true ryan, but the popularity for each game type may come in, once the tournaments are played more regularly, meaning there would be more people wanting to get better at game types which they havent played much, rather than just simply trying to improve on the game types which they are good at. It will increase the popularity of each game type enormously, and will make it much more of a challenge for everyone as they will all want to win tournaments.

Looking at it from another angle, what if Nick did make these changes, and every tournament only had about 20 entrants? Do you see where im coming from?

Yes I do, but look at it through the perspective of Regular and Original snooker gaining popularity, that would be positive change. And besides, you wouldn't have to wait as long for a specific type of tournament you'd like to enter, because it all the game types would continuously be rotating.

Nick had the numbers that were entering the tournys and arcade (on average) had about 30 more people entering than the other tournys.

So that's the reason why there is more arcade tournys. Because a lot more people enter them.

Yes original may be getting more popular but it is still a small percentage of games played on there in comparison to arcade. Same for regular. Carom is a league below that aswell.

yeah but damien, if there were more tourneys, people may get more interested and might start to become regular players of all three game types.

You have to look at it from the positives, and let the negatives be put right.

I did message a schedule to nick about tournaments but he rejected it so sorry trish, this wont happen even though i like it

why can tournaments not over lap ? giving people the option to join two tournaments and letting them decide which they want to join themselves. i agree that more original and regular etc tournmaents is a good idea as they will increase in popularity as there are players who like me join them even though they do not play regularly in them genres.

It is all based on popularity for the 1000th time!

On pool every tournament has 50 players easy.

On snooker. An example: todays original speed tournament = 25 players! In my opinion that is still not enough to have a tournament every hour.
