you should be looking at smaller engines straight away,
cars like corsa's, clio's fiestas are all usually the chosen choice for the best quotes.
anythin under 1.2 will be a good quote,
ford ka are very good i believe.

rubbish...i had one for 7 years, never had a problem
people say its always a ford that they see on the hard shoulder (or a vauxhall)...its cos theres so many of them so the chances are very high...a corsa?? boy racer territory, you want cheaper insurance??? no way at your age but go for the non typical car of a youngster......but the difference may be marginal, but good luck, its the monority div heads that bump up the premiums for the sensible people...

My first and current car is a 1.3 Hyundai Accent. I have it over 2 years now and it's never given me trouble. Insurance is relatively cheap too. Quality first car, full electrics and sun-roof.

I would recomend a Vauxhall Corsa or a Citroen Saxo for 1st car not to big most first cars are Saxo's but don't just go by that be diffrent get a really good make and model that you like.
Cars companys that are good are Nissan's or Vaxhall's so i recomend either Vauxhall Corsa or Vauxhall Astra!

Corsa's are the worst cars in the world
I had an Astra cabriolet first before I bought my Lexus IS200.....both were around £1800 first year aged 21, second year I paid £900.
If you just want something cheap to buy, get a Mini, Corsa's are way too common and you will get pulled minimum of once a week in a car like that if your young driving around with friends
