Would be nice to see a win percentage table on the rankings. Just to see where you compare with others.

The stat is already on profiles so cant see any complications in putting a table in (even if it is just on the overall rankings)

Obviously a minimum number of games should be played before you appear on the table, Otherwise it will be full of members who have played 1 and won 1. So possibly make it so newbies dont appear on the table?

This had indeed been discussed in the past, and I think the reason why there isn't such a table is that it would encourage players to play low ranked opponents just to have a better percentage.
As long as it stays as an informative value on your profile, and not a comparative value in a table, there's no such problem.

I wouldnt mind seeing it as a table as win percentage is the only stat we have that gives a true indication of a players real ability. The rank someone happens to have now only shows a rough indicator of abilities at that percise moment against whatever opponents they are choosing.

If the player has played fo 4-5 years then its hardly a decent thing to go by.

Win percentage in tournaments would be the ideal way, then people cannot choose opponents.

Wouldnt work, Because a new stat would need to be implemented. Win percentage will need to be split into normal win percent and tournament win percentage.

Well it would work, just with a new calculation just for calculating the win percentage in tournament games. Because as has been mentioned by Spinner, if it's all round, people will just play low ranked players to get a better win percentage. You could put in brackets the average ranking of the last, for example, 10 players played against just to show what sort of competition they've had...

...in your opinion mabye so but others find it an important stat and like to keep it high.

As I've always said, I find win % the most reliable stat we have, for the same reasons the_shadow mentioned above.

I often try to point it out to people who say things like "you're to good for your rank" - not at all, I just never filter who I play, so my rank stays about 750ish, but if you see my win percentage is over 50%, that means i'm probably gonna win at least half of the games.

Its just a statistic, and the more the merrier!

A graph showing your win % vs your rank over the years would be cool to see.

Perhaps such stats could be introduced for more mature members, who have been signed up for at least a year. That would give some longer term goals to aim for along with the short term rank and tournaments we currently have.
