hi all,
i mentioned a big difference between playing on my laptop or on my desktop. Biggest difference is the cue power. Can this be explained by different mouse settings or are there more factors included?

Cheers

I always find i can never control my power on a laptop, I just thought nothing of it thought it as a preference to play. But now you mention it, it would be nice to see what others think..

Im the opposite, i have less control of power on a mouse. I guess its just what you are used to.

Every pointing device can have a different "effect" on power. So what you are used to makes a huge difference.

Finding more power with a mouse on a laptop is to be expected as they tend to be set at the same default resolution, however the actual screen resolution of a laptop is generally lower than that of a desktop, so it appears there is more power.

Great input, spinner!

I just want to add that for mouse makes big difference on what surface it is used.
Different surface reflect differently even the color and if there some drawings or texture are matters.

So some effects could be control for computer settings.

I noticed too that on different resolution settings balls are behave differently.

Strange enough i have by far the most cue power on my 19inch widescreen (highest resolution). For the feeling maybe a factor 2 more then on my laptop 17inch or 17inch desktop at work....not able to make soft shots to keep position here....makes it not easy getting a maximum.......
