it seems a bit confusing when u see a newbie and he has ranking 780+ or something like this.

This meaning that newbie is not a rank but a status.

So my proposal is to keep ranking level as it is according to score but for newbies add "newbie"

it would be like this "go4it - intermidiate - newbie"

So when i choose to play with somebody i no his ranking and do not need to look in his profile.

When you play ranked games, you can see your opponent's ranking anyway next to that descriptive word.

If your problem is with friendly games, then I can understand your point.

U partly right !

But there is a issue of understanding too.

The newbie is not a rank.

And, Yes, when I play friendly games it is confusing.

newbie has always been a status never about rank. once the first 100 games of any type are played they lose their "newbie" status.

all them word ie. intermediate, adept, professional and virtuoso are statuses related to the rank of a player.

for friendlies, if they are a newbie its a lucky draw as to what type of newbie they are, it may be their first game or it may be their first game on a new account.

anyway, there are players who rarely play ranked games and could be the best player in funkysnooker yet still be classed as "i_am_deco- intermediate" after 2000 friendly games and no ranked games.

your suggustion while i see merit in it will not give a great indication of the quality of the player until you look at their stats
