I've been experiencing fairly significant display corruption lately, where parts of the table appear in the wrong place with every window refresh, such as when I move my mouse across the table or the balls are moving after a shot.

It happens in both Firefox and IE, and the only way I can get rid of it is by disabling DirectX video/hardware acceleration through the Display Properties.

I appreciate that it could be to do with my nVidia display driver (I have the latest one) but is anyone experiencing this? Could this be investigated? I can provide screenshots and further technical information to an admin if you'd like me to.

I'm guessing that the image above hasn't worked, so I'll try a different link:

We have had a similar incident on pool, and it seemed to be an issue between the current Java version and the latest GFX driver, however your post makes me think it's more likely Java/Direct X thats the problem.

Try uninstalling Java (all versions, there may be more than one), rebooting, and visiting http://java.sun.com/products/archive/

I reccomend trying version 5.20 initially, and see if that works.

Cheers Spinner, downgrading to Java 1.5 works. I tried with early versions of Java 1.6 but they didn't work either. Any idea if/when this will be resolved?
