yes but im talking about if there is 5 or 6 hours in the difference and there is a page of replies between em. that kinda thing would lead to confusion. for me anyway but maybe im just stupid

Some thread types simply don't lend themselves to merging and are better capped with a link to the continuation, it really depends on the situation.
