can i get people opinions on this subject

i was on a break on for my first century in tourney play and my opponent leaves the break automatically stops

for me they should get banned from entering comps period yes or no

answer to that is no, what happens if their connection goes and it kicks them out.

and dgen just for the record if ur connection goes that would mean ur not logged in to server yes well my opponent was in members all right after it happened i went there no more than 5 secs after he left game

all i was saying is this banning your on about, what if the other guy did actually lose connection, it wouldnt be his fault. In your case he left on purpose and wasnt right.

also i agree that you should be able to carryon with your break, ive seen saying so for a while now.

so how do we go about getting it changed so we can care on when this happens


and isnt there some way of checking if some1 has genuinely lost connection or being a bad loser and leaving intentionally

as the other forums point out u can carry on in ranked and friendly so shouldnt be to hard to alter tourneys to play the same way every 1 knows ur on a time limit weather it be ranked friendly or tourney

But if the player lost connection doesnt it 9 times out of 10 come " player is not responding"?
I may be wrong but it does get really annoying when a player chucks his cue out the pram.

it may get annoying but its not their fault (unless they purposly turn there modem off). bigkuz this rule where you can continue your break was in, in the old days of funkysnooker, dont really know why it got took out but i would like this back in.

i think a ban is a bit harsh but it is annoying the break should just carry on like in a normal game,maybe its this way to finish the tornaments quicker.

i think this rule is a mockery of the game to be honest,

the aim in snooker is to get your highest break and beat your opponent,

yesterday im on 77, 35 available easy red colours on spots, and he walked,

gr8 i thought, ive done all the work and hes decided im not getting the century.

once again the worst rule on funkysnooker, every player agrees its a shambles and has done for a long time now,

however nothing is likely to change with regards to this it seems,

i think add a button to end the game at any stage once the person has left and allow people to continue the break

if they dont hit the button on time boo hoo to them and move on with the tourny without them

Banning isnt harsh at all

The rule is harsh, and has cost me a bundles!

The thing that annoys me is its ruins the ratios for halfs/cents in games played.

Also when i do a perfecct break and can see myself hitting a 107 i get nerveous and rush, i even try and sweet talk the opponent, makes it easier to make a mistake and when i dont make a mistake, they leave anyway.

I would rather lose connection that my break to end...BCOZ if the rule come sinto use, then just after my connection goes...How am i going to play the next game?? LOL

I hade a thread with a solution. The thread was called 'Continuing your break' or something like that. Please read that and tell me what you think.

every1 has a different opinion but the general goal on here is to make the biggest break possible in the time allowed so if some1 who doesnt like you or just losing in general leaves whilst ur making that break in tourney play well yes ban him from entering due to unsportsmanship but also allow the break to finish
christ people aint playing to hit 1's and 2's they wanna hit 50+ breaks and when the chance comes (and there not many)hit cents but for some1 to act like some1's like a child and spit there dummy out is beyond a joke u enter the competition with 1 aim to win yes well also on the flip side is losing its part of life winners and losers if u cannot accept u may lose dont play simple as but if u are gonna losing please have the curtiosy to at least give ur opponent the chance to finish his break
