Hello again,
I have a question and by the following incident. I was playing the regular final today. Well i was 1-0 up in frames and he was stalling in the game very badly ( i mean every shot 20 sec, pretty annoying but that aint the point ).
Because If he took every shot 20 seconds to shoot and puts it against the pack every time we got the time penalty. You can't do anything to avoid the time penalty then. I think that isnt fair.
Can't these rules be changed in a way the player that has the longest averige shottime loses the game. Would be more fair anyways and timestalling will be punished in this way.
greetings,
govie

The one problem with this is that they are some people who are naturally slow players and it's a disadvantage to them.
I know in the past a chess-clock like system was suggested.
Apart from that, it is indeed annoying and could do with a solution, i just think that it needs tweaking from your suggestion IMO.

A chess style clock would be alot fairer in my opinion. If you use all your time up you get disqualified.

a chess clock on a Snooker game is rather rubbish IMO

a "chess clock" or "average shot time" has the same outcome, when a match takes too long. i think average shot is easier to program than a chessclock.
I hope the programmer of funkysnooker could maybe tell us if it is possible in the current programming and maybe he/she/they dont have the time right now to insert a different "time penalty system".
so i say bump the topic!

dont hold your breath if your waiting for the programmer to reply! it will be a long long long wait
the average shot length idea is a good idea, none of the ideas are fool proof though, as dame said what about the slower shot players.
something needs to be done about players who deliberately run down the clock to knock both players out

if u cant win in the timelimit when players play normal, u dont deserve to win
If lets say the time penalty clock is 40 minutes in total then the time penalty limit for each player would be 20 minutes total for the hole match
it dont seem that difficult to me
