I ahve recently been developing my carom game but I feel I have or am going to hit a wall.
I can hit the basic runs of 4's and 5's and a 6 is due om sure. But James put to my attention last night that I do not use spin. Its true I have never used it and dont really know how in this game.
Just like the other regular tips thread I would appreciate some feedback on here.
Thank you

your obviously good with your angles if your hitting those runs without spin. Just practice using different types of spin for different types of shots and you will get the hang of it. When i use spin in carom i tend to stick to only using top spin and which ever side spin i think is needed for the shot.

Thank you lol
I know but for some reason I really cant understand what type of spin matches each shot.

Using spin is all about creating angles which aren't naturally there, so if the angle to make the shot isn't their hitting the cue ball in the middle, you need to put spin on it. V rarely will you ever need to play a screw shot, but right/left side, and top spin are important, depending on the situation.

OK, do what i do, if your not to sure on where the white is going to go when u use spin, its simple, put left hand spin for example, click the screen the cue will go to the left or right, thats where the whites gona go
Thats what i do, i dnt have a clue about spin
Just experiment like that, it will come to you

Personally in carom I avoid spin as much as possible, because the cue ball's path is much more predictable when you don't use spin. I only use spin when there's no no-spin shot, or in some very easy spin situations.
In any case especially side spin is useful in carom, in order to force the cue ball taking a certain path after the first cushion. I'm not quite sure about top spin (hardly use it myself), but never use back spin, as it slows down the cue ball too much.

The only time you ever need to use a screw shot is if you are very very close to the object ball and screw shot is only option. Apart from that, don't use it.
