rank doesnt really matter anyway

If this were ever to be introduced with a ranking format, how about taking the higher rank of the duo as the basis for calculating the win / loss points?

This would mean that in the event of a win, the winning team would not both gain a large number of points at once, and this should reduce the possibility of reaching the magical 1000.
Admittedly though, the lower ranked player would not gain as many points as he would in a singles match.

I still like the idea of friendly only doubles though.

but some people like rank but its less confusing if you just play friendlys
