There is an ignore all PMs button! In the game go options > messages > ignore all new pm requests.
Unless i am totally missing something here...

You are missing something, yes: that doesn't ignore PM requests from people on your friends list. I'm guessing that's what the "new" part means.

Yes, good point about the friends part, just simple needs an option saying including friends.
The "new" part means no one (apart from friends and staff members) can start a pm convo with you, but you can start one with them.

Derry you've missed the point!
The pms are often distracting (and annoying).
A lot of the time people just want to log on and play the game without fear of being distracted by random pms popping up and having to talk to people throughout.
The best solution obviously isn't to tell everyone that you're busy and then put them on ignore (which is usually easier said than done) because that is no less distracting.
I assume that's part of the reason why there is an option to block "new pm requests", this would just be an extension of that option. Or are you going to tell me that there's no need for that either and to "just close every single box that pops up"?
The thing with only being able to block "new pm requests" is that you're far more likely to get pms from people on your friends list than people you don't know, so it doesn't even make much of a difference.

......it's a simple fix, so why not fix it!
It's not asking much, but it would make a massive difference.

if you close the pm box
a) it has distracted you
b) you are 99% of the time going to get another one saying "whats wrong?"
c) you have to take them off ignore again
not really a valid solution either
ps i know you were taking the michael

I used to practice as a guest myself, I think it's a perfect solution to the problem.

Blutch you're missing the point that I made in a previous post:
The pms aren't just a problem on the practice table, but throughout the game.

To be fair, this is only a solution for those that use the default cursor etc. as guest do not have the ability to change game options.
