Increasing the maximum player limit would be a good idea, but it would also impact on the game, causing lag. It may even require a better server which could handle more players without affecting game play.

perhaps if the max number is reached and members are trying to log on, the server could dump guests in favour of members who are trying to get on??

there was a thing like that in the past, if you tried to log on as a guest around 6-8pm you were unable there was something about it being peak time and only registered members were allowed on.

dont know if that is still in place though.

in my opinion i think we should scrap guests playing

just have a test game option where u play computer or simething

and then u must join to play other humans

What is in place in the moment is that if guests log of when the server is at its near peak ( i think its about 20 off the peak) then no guests are allowed back on until the number of users online drop below the 20 off server limit.

Don't like this idea at all. As it is, members are given priority over guests and the situation occurs relatively infrequently (usually around the WSC). I believe that you would get less people signing up if you tried this - I would have been one of them probably (yes, I know that wouldn't be a bad thing lol). Remember guests are potential members and not second class citizens.

The ease with which people can try out the full game is one of the great strenghts of the site, so guests aren't going anywhere soon

Server limits have been raised several times recently, showing how popular the site has become, and I can see no reason why they will not continue to be raised.

It is common for this time of year to be very busy with the World Championship just finished, especially given the unfortunate headline grabbing nature of the sport at the time of this years event.

Can you not use a cloud server or is that too expensive? But the main point being that, more people = more clicks on adsense = more revenue from other adverting avenues, doesn't it?
