please some1 change the rules on tourny time outs, gone out now a few times when oppenant has entered game late, was winning but time elapsed. Surely there is somethiing that can be done, lowest score should forfeit i feel, And yes i know this subject been raised before, but as of yet nothing done to change it. Can it really be that hard to sort this problem

As you say, this has bee done to death many times. However, the reason it hasn't changed is because Nick feels that there is no need to, so it isn't a case of easy or hard to do. When it has been brought up before, Nick has proposed 'chess clock style' or extending tourney times but not removing this disqualification. One of the main reasons is because of people abusing it by, after having built up a lead, time wasting so that the opponent is disqualified.

also 1-0 wins cos u have potted the loose red and then played tap tap all game

i was in the tourney final the other day and it was best of 3 frames and we was both on 1 each and the time ran out and it didnt give the tourney to either of us.

what i didnt understand is why didnt it just let us play till someone won because no one is waiting on us so there is no need to have a time limit tbh?

I guess that's the reason there's a 3 minutes limit to join the tournament, so not more than 3 minutes can be lost that way.
I think that 3 minutes is fair enough (not really much compared to the round time limit), except maybe for speed tournaments... there we could simply reduce the join time limit to 1,5 or 2 minutes or so...

yeah a no time limit final would be good, only exception is time wasting.

also an idea what cropped up on pool a month ago, how about after 2 minutes send the invite out a second time in case you accidently decline the invite or even worse crashes or disconnects.

How on earth can it be fair, when it's 1-1 in a final, and I'm leading by 30-odd points, and with only the black remaining, for us both to be disqualified????

1: It's a final, and no-one else is waiting to play either of us.
2: I have an unassailable lead.
3: Only the black remains.

You cant have a 30 point lead with the black on the table.

Plus if the black is the last ball on the table and your 8 points or more ahead, you can deliberatly foul and the game ends. Due to the black ball rule.

Ok, let me clarify: it was 1-1 in games. I had a lead whereby my opponent needed two or three snookers with brown, blue, pink, and black on the table. I'd had a break to go into this lead, but missed the brown. My opponent could have conceded, but started potting the balls (not looking for snookers). He potted the brown, the blue, and then the pink. He played the black, but missed. Just as the ball was rebounding from the jaws of the pocket (eg, before I could have played a shot), we were cut off, and the entire tournament was void.

It seems the black-ball rule was over-ridden by the time limit... and I feel cheated.

Hmm, that is pretty sick, and shouldnt happen tbh. But how many times ive been about 130+ points in front and someone feels like playin on and potting the colours is ridiculous. Just makes them look totally unprofessional and you know if u go, " u wanna flag?" they would just throw abuse at you.

It shouldnt happen but it does. Your's sounds pretty harsh though

the black went in
and it said game over offical rules time ran out
the black was in just hasnt processed it had gone in so i got dq ;(
