Just wondered if it would be nice to have the ability to do an anonymous post, incase you have an opinion of a thread, and dont want your name to be show, admins will have the ability to see the person who posted for spamming/abuse reasons obviously.

Thoughts?

Why wouldn't you want your name to be shown?

I can't think of a situation where it would be of benefit ... any examples?

in case (god forbid) you don't agree with certain people who go crazy if someone doesnt agree

I think that anyone who does react to a persons opinion in a negative way shouldn't be able to post, simple. That would sort the forum out.

Does that mean nobody can disagree with what somebody else says??

Personally, I disagree with the idea of anonymous posting also! If you have an opinion, I dont see why you should be afraid to express it. The only time I can see a need for hiding your identity is if you know what you are saying is going to cause an argument or is dodgy and you dont want to be known to have said it! Which is definitely a reason for not implementing your idea

I love forums for their freedom of speach, You need to remember negative views are just as good as positive views

If you are making a serious discussion people will always disagree and you need these people to make something better listen why they disagree so things can become strong.

Anonymous posting is not needed for the fact, people want to no who likes and dislikes their ideas there have being alot of large arguments usually in Footy Results but they always end up worked out becuase if your talking to an invisible person it's not like you can confront them or discuss where you think problems are.

If we all agreed. Lets be honest. The forums would be boring.
