Mouse precision

I find the mouse difficult to operate sometimes, the pointer seems to miss pixels and not aim exactly where I am after. Are there any tips on how to improve cursor performance?

Control Panel> Mouse > Pointer Options > increase pointer speed & tick "enhance pointer precision"

personally i find the mouse perfect, 50 times bettter than touchpad

i got one for £8 from tesco, not very good but does the job, also 3 years guarantee on it
