Found myself in the final of Arcade Snooker Final today, and from 1-0 down, got myself in it to go 1-1 into the decider.

Barely had 5 mins into the third frame before the time warnings came, but my opponent delayed his shots and deliberately made shots awkward so i couldnt pot - all that was left on the table was the pink! We ended up both getting DQd even though I was like 46-21 up or so.

Anyone else had the same experience?! Being DQd despite obviously leading due to time/opponent?

Maybe im just seething at the injustice of not winning my first tournament aha, but dunno maybe there should be some ruling of a tournament winner?

First ever forum post lol

hey, congrats on your first post
This has been brought up in the past. I think the best solution would be to eliminate the time limit in the final, since no other players are being held up.

Thanks
Ahh right, but no plans to change the time limit? Or even extend the time? Less time means less quality in the game too, very scrappy and can't afford to tap the bunch of reds in a limited time game like that aha

Which time limit are you talking about? If you mean the time for each shot, you were playing a speed tourney- just 10 secs per shot.
There are no plans that I've heard of to eliminate the time limit to get the final completed.

Speed tournament yeah.
Normal tournaments are fine, should have made that clear
Ahh right, i guess it only affects a small proportion of players.. but stillllll :( Thanks for that though mate

The time element cannot change for final when its already in place for previous rounds. The speed tournie time limit is there to encourage players to try and be open. Please accept our apologies in this instance for not being able to finish. It is something we may look into in the future.

Do you mean it would be difficult to implement? In that case I would understand

Yes, when a tournie is set up, a time limit has to be applied to each round. It cannot be different from round one,two or quarter/semi finals.

makes sense, and i understand that the fact that it is speed makes for a more open game.
although when players play it like a normal arcade game with negative breaks etc. then a lot of time is lost and ultimately the match
no chance of stopping the time limit at all then? so that there is no time limit on the final instead of making it longer than previous rounds?

but then how come in arcade tourns, first to 1 is 16 mins and then first to two is 41 or something?? surely you can edit the times for different tourns then?
