So how come, when my screen freezes, the clock still counts down ,and I lose? I can hear the ticking... I can hear my opponent giggling... but I can't play. When his browser's giving up the ghost, I have to wait for him.
When I played an opponent at Power, he was given 70 seconds to take a shot four or five times. On the final shot, I waited over 4 1/2 minutes for him to end the game... Nothing showed up to tell me he was experiencing trouble...

Ive experienced the same problem. On some occasions in Power, the other person literally takes alot longer than 20 seconds to play. Yet, the screen isnt frozen as the cue is still moving. When i reach the 20 second time limit, i dont get any extra time and often end up losing the shot.

Regarding the 20 second count down, please see http://www.funkysnooker.com/help#opponent_shot_timer
The game "freezing" sounds like a serious problem that I've not witnessed (I've heard off it only very occasionally before). Can you give more details, including Java version and browser details? How do you know random shots are occurring, because sound is working? And does the chat area still work?

The shot timer is independent on each persons computer. It is only a guide on the opponents shot. If the opponent is lagging or disconnected, then it allows the opponent to reconnect and take the shot. An automatic random shot is taken when the time runs out on their machine.

my java is fine as you saw yesterday, what happens with mine is i get a cloud like substance and then all i can do is keep pressing F5 to try and revive the window sometimes it works and others it just asks me to force close.
meanwhile when i press F5 the game is continuing and time still runs down like i am away from computer, most times i put shot clock on 40 seconds or above to try and prevent this

Which browser and version are you using? Do you have the ability to swap browsers to verify if it's a browser error?
