Also, due the the overwhelming popularity and number of tournaments of Arcade over Original, the disparity will always exist anyway so nothing will be achieved.
In fact, if there are say, twice the number of Arcade competitors , twice the number of tournapoints would at least make the gap less noticeable.
I do not wanna have to play fluke ball in order to have some kind of chance to win a medal. Right now its pretty dam unfair on Original players
But really, it isn't particularly unfair to original players at all because, with it not being artificially weighted, it means that it is fundamentally fair for everybody and it is popularity that is the driving force in the allocation of medals. What is needed is original to be more popular than it is rather than manipulating the system just to gain a few points.

And surely the way to do that is make more tournapoints available for people, hence it would seem more appealing to arcade players and then there we are

Agreed .. more tournaments but not artificial scaling of the points.
