I submitted an application on 26/01/11. It is now 17/05/11.. Almost half a year after I submitted..

I think the information given on the "Help" page is pretty incorrect..

For example...

"The recruitment process will take place on a monthly basis."

"Therefore you may have to wait upto 6 weeks to receive a reply."

Is my application ever going to be looked at?

i had this several times and literally had to bug the admins to look at my application which 9/10 i got refused.

contact us may help but thats the same, i put some ideas forward through contact us and wasn't until a month later it said resolved with no reply.

fastboysam is best to talk to about mod apps as he deals with them

I asked Nick a while back. He said it's taking so long because all admins & mods have to look at them.. But really, it doesn't take 5+ months to look at some applications..

I don't want to keep bugging admins but it is quite irritating.

it's not even been a third of a year. Not even 4 months.

I don't see the need to exaggerate

By "staff needing to look through them all", all that means is that the applications are posted in a thread for the staff to vote on. There's no reason why this can't be done on a monthly basis. Or at least put something in the helpdesk that says your application may not even be looked at...

Admin will deal with loads (not to estimate a number) and be very busy. Patience is a virtue.

Do remember that mods and admins are very busy and are not online 24/7, for it to get through all mods it could take a while

The "voting" system was scrapped around 2004, so this info is just a little out of date!

ALL apps are looked at and replies send whether they are accepted or declined.

Sometimes we find people don't receive them due to changing email address between applying and the acknowledgement being sent, or it landing in the junk mail.

But, the message is definitely sent to the address at the time of applying, this is built into the system and admin have no way around it.
