As a player, what do you prefer to get? Im playing in the final of a tournament right now against a 900 with a tap break. I questioned him about it and he said it keeps everything safe and tournaments are more important than centuries. I personally think that is a shocking attitude for a virtuoso to be having.

What say you?

Its breaks every time for me!

On a game like this, I would definitely say that breaks are more important, as chances for a century or more may be few and far between for some people.
However, if this were real life, I would admit that the tournament win would be much more important, but as it is not a real game where the winner of a tournament gets $$$$'s of money, breaks are more important to me

Both are equally unimportant in the general scheme of things.

Breaks for me...tournaments are a waste of time imo, take far too long to play, but obviously a lot of people will prefer tournaments as well maybe because they aren't very good at break building.

But then again if i entered a tournament and wasted over an hour getting to the final I'd probably prefer the tournament win over a century, obviously the guy you played in the final isn't bothered about breaks. It looks like his tatics worked anyway so as long as he didn't break any rules i can't knock him.

It wasnt a knee-jerk thing or anything. Iv been in countless finals and lost, why would I have just chosen to be a bad loser now?

Was a genuine question out of curiosity.

Jay i played one today, it was ridiculous, hes been a high virtuoso 940+ and he just tapped and tapped and tapped (and tapped). If a few reds were tied up he was leaving them and picking others of even if he had the perfect opp to bring them all in, if a shot was a TINY bit risky he would just play safe and just tuck me up behind the colors every other shot. It's there way in playing but i think its unbelievable that tournaments mean so much to them that they have to wreck a game, proper annoyed me.

1 shot he done was a joke, he had a shot on and just rolled it on to the black tying everything up, was a shambles of a game.

With me, personally, doing breaks is the only reason i come on this game lol

Well i used to prefer just winning but as of recently its all about breaks in fairness and if i get the tourny win on the way bonus .. but i play a lot of people on this site that do just tap and tap and tap .. and im talking people that have been in the 900's and tbh it really is a tad pathetic... they can obviously play the game properly as they have done before.
