I've said this before somewhere, but the best compromise I can see is that if the game is at the snookers required stage, then the person ahead wins. If both players could win with the balls left then DQ-DQ. This would stop players who do not have the ability to play snookers from knocking you out through bad sportsmanship.

Your opponent has every right to carry on. They saved them selves some ranking points, that's how they would have looked at it.

Personally I think very little can be done about it, the rules shouldn't change IMO too.

Irrelevant. They ain't breaking the rules, they are playing the way so they don't lose.

Ask some of my clan members when I've played them on power snooker. If it's close I will constantly go for snookers and not take the easy pots. Purely because I don't want to lose.

Yes, the guy in this scenario should have conceded, but was under no obligation to. It's one of them things that very little can be done about it.

ive done it in the past too but playing a pushout so i didn't leave the last red to the opponent, thats when i was serious with ranking points though.
