What don't you get? It's not a matter of people worrying about the abuse, It's the reason why this will never happen.

i know this site i go on the Staff has to use teamspeak, can be used to report problems etc so if the owner isn't online on the sites then they could be reached by teamspeak.

i have only used it once but i only typed not spoke as im generally quiet to those i don't know.

because i was a Help Desk Operator on that site i had to use teamspeak, the owner gave us virtually money (around a bil whenever we needed it) to spend doing games for public/buy beers to rank up etc.

after a month i eventually quit HDO as i was running 2 leagues at the time and HDO on top was too much.

teamspeak is good for those who wish to talk to others (via microphone) without the use of Skype. In general a good idea especially for the staff or noisy members on the site.

teamspeak would have to be a download as well

That's not a good enough reason though.
Abuse is an issue that can be deterred via the points that skrillex made, so it can't be a valid reason behind not implementing the idea.

A valid reason would be if Nick didn't have the time to code such a feature, which would be fair enough, as I can imagine it would be a little tedious.

It should definitely not be pushed aside though, as it would be a very good addition to the site.

I don't understand why people are talking about Skype in this thread. Yes you can talk on Skype, just as you can with a telephone, but that's not what this thread is about.

I doubt Nick would have the time with all the other things he will be working on, and this is more than likely one of the least important.
