I think its a good time to say a few words about my vision for allstarz.

I have seen many players come and go in my relatively short time as Captain, but yet we are still strong and going nowhere.

It would be easy to think otherwise lately particularly with some of the unnecessary comments that have been floating around.

In my opinion trying to form a team full of players that are on this site 4 hours a day is a recipe for disaster, very few individuals will sustain that level of activity. I for one have been one of those players and found myself getting pretty bored and my enthusiasm for playing gone. Teams which are built on this foundation have a history of failing and that is no surprise to me, after all the clan league only offers a player a couple of fixtures a fortnight if youre lucky. I dont think FSE or DC will disagree with me when I say the core of the team doesnt need to be based on so called active players.

It is easy to see how players like nut_case and villa_magic can become despondent in our team, they are players looking for constant entertainment, frankly this is not the clan for them. I would much rather build a team of players like gemma_x and horse10000, 2 players I rarely meet online and rarely see a forum post from but never fail to get their fixtures played. Reliability and honour are two traits I value more than any other.

It is obvious we have a few holes to fill in team, we have lost Jonnytraunt and NH425 two players that I was genuinely disappointed to lose. We will however find players equally as reliable and committed, I hope Ronnie and Stuart will be two of those moving forward. It is however important that any future recruits understand what to expect when joining allstarz a high turnover of new recruits joining and then leaving is demoralising for the Captains. I certainly have invested many hours which have been wasted as players leave.

Anyway I hope that my views are shared by our members and do not come as a disappointment to those that still remain extremely active amongst us. We will have more players active as we fill the remaining few spaces so lets keep an eye out for players that are worthy of joining and enjoy the times when we do have 4 or 5 of us online more effectively... Perhaps we should encourage a weekly killer game for comedy value?
