Ok, obviously not a new idea, but one that I have liked for a while (and over other new game suggestions). hint: Straight Snooker! Also think it would be very popular with most members..

Have searched the forum about this very quickly and it has been some time since a doubles mode has been presented as the main topic of discussion..

Surely this can be easily implemented, across all tables? It will 'spice' things up a bit and allow members to meet others and crucially, play together. A Doubles tournament is also a realistic possiblity, as there has been talk of tournaments suffering recently..

Perhaps the best thing would be to perhaps halve the available ranking points after a match, so there isn't as much reliance or pressure on either player?

And for snooker fundamentalists, don't forget, there was the World Doubles Championship in the 80's!



What do we all think? Could we make this a firm suggestion towards Nick with enough backing?

How in a tourney would decide who go's with who?

what if i joined a doubles tournament and got joined with someone that isn't up to my abilities, that would not reflect my skill and therefore i would not at all be impressed lol

Maybe you could pre-select your team-mate?

would be random like any other, not really a tournament if lets say Seb and Damee are on one team in orig lol

it would be amusing watching novices busily engaged with trying to partner a prof\virt if it wasn't random

It would be great for clan games but I can't see it ever happening. Too many complications.
