recently ive got into this site, its a national treasure hunt basically

you put your post code in and up on the map comes hidden treasures in the area,

most are like a pot with a scroll in and you just sign to say youve found it then update the site,

you use phone gps to get to the caches ( hidden items )

theres millions and probably something withing a few streeets of you!!!

I was on a school trip to some forest wilderness camp in middle school where they told us about exactly this. Since then (about 10 years ago) I've been trying to figure out what the website with the coordinates was.
Brilliant!

There is an iPhone app something similar called GPS mission I think and I think it's free and there is hours of entertainment on it. Different game types such hunting ghosts which may be around you, treasure hunting and I think (not sure) you can create your own map and get friends to join in.

It was on the gadget show some time a few months ago haha.

found an amazing one today, a fence post that was actually magnetised on then inside the post was the cache!!!

there are 6 million items hidden across the world, some tiny some bigger, some are like mini games, some are cryptic some are very very easy!!!! its just endless

and if you get bored of finding others you can set your own ones up.

i have one oppoosite my house, within 24hours of it going live on the site 6 sets of people had been to get it.

infact the caches with things in like prizes are usually the boring ones.

i like finding the mini nano's, ultimate tiny magnets usually in the sneakiest of places, when you find one thats when ya get the buzz, solving a mystery pretty much!!

might see if there one round where i live at the weekend and share what i find!

do it there will be loads to choose from. ridiculous amounts. today as an example of a good one, got to the destination it was a style at the side of a road, got there the clue was ..... magnetic suspended ....... im looking around nothing at all anywhere that stood out, anyways just over the style there is a fence sticking out, after it wrecking my head for ages i ended up looking kinda behind under the fence, when i touch the wood on back of fence it only comes off, magnets inserted in it to hold it too fence perfect, inside the wood is the cache in a hole theyve scracthed out. madness, so hidden, but when i cracked it i was buzzing!!!

just signed up and download the app on my phone and there one in a field 500 metres from my house.

Going to have a look tomorrow when i walk the dogs, Ill let ya know what i find and if i find it, the sods better of left it there, don't wanna be looking for nothing for hours tomorrow
