So if I don't buy my next TV licence, get caught and refuse to pay the fine, I will be sent to prison where I can watch it free.
If the TV is provided for good behaviour, why can't all good citizens have a free TV licence?
And my parents pay tax and some of it goes for prisoners to watch tv?

They shouldn't. It's as simple as that.

Because without a tv what the hell else are they gonna do? Start a riot and escape. I'd rather let them watch 'Friends' in prison than have them running around the streets looting everything.

and also 80 years ago there was no such thing as tv and didn't see any riots
I can agree with maybe having a tv room. But having a tv in everyone cell is pathetic and now they can even have internet.

They shouldn't have any luxuries, they aren't there to have a good time. It's supposed to be punishment.
There are certain people in prison who just need to be steered in the right direction and have just not had the right upbringing but people like Breivik should be locked in a room for the rest of their lives and thrown bread every so often. Breivik and anyone else who has intentionally taken a life certainly doesn't deserve their own, let alone a TV and internet access.

yep exactly depends on who the person is and what the crime is some people may be allowed like a newspaper or something

also wouldnt this cause many poor people to want to go to jail for tv , food and a nice bed to sleep in

Yeah. If I was homeless with little chance of getting back on my feet I know where I'd rather be.
On the streets getting scraps out of takeaway bins or inside a prison cell with the chance of even having the odd luxury at some point? Prison any day.

Homeless people are on the streets, sleeping rough for a reason, and 99% of them are the nicest people you could wish to meet. Whatever their reason for being homeless, im sure its nothing to do with robberies, murders, child killers etc. IMO, if you are in prison, you have been convicted for a crime, and deserve NOTHING, let alone a TV.

exactly I'd honestly rather be in prison then on the street with no shelter, food or tv

Just because you get convicted for a crime doesn't mean you're guilty.
