I just played a superb two cushion pot, out of a snooker.... and I got accused of using an 'aimbot' or 'aimer' whatever you call it.

Has it come to this when you play a good shot and it's no longer a 'ns', but raises a question and suspicion.

It's a shame if players begin thinking like this, one certainly is. It just takes the sportsmanship and fun out of it and the acknowledgment of a damn good shot (well I thought it was, so did the spectator !). Oh well, I'm clean... lets hope this great game stays clean

It is a shame Ian when some players spoil a match with alledged inuendos of using an aimer or a cheating tool, the best i heard when i made a 107 once on a 5 sec arcade match was " i must be using a ruler" wow, if this is the case then i must be an octopus using so many hands at once.

Moral: Shame they couldnt respect your shot, but i will gladly say "ns" as i know how good some of your shots can be my friend.

i would be flattered if someone accused me as it means i am a very good player and they are not on your level.

but i do see your point, i normally do 'ns' too if the shot isn't the average shot but its either a difficult pot or you done well to get to next ball

The days where i would reset constantly, if i made a max, my opponent would say 'cheat im reporting you' its the nature of the game, Just got to stick them on ignore and carry on playing you're great game

If you knock in 20 of them in a row, then maybe people start getting suspicious, but it's ridiculous people can accuse you like that for making one very good and let's be honest slightly fortunate (yes it can be both!) pot. Just ignore them is the best bet.

As for the ruler thing someone mentioned, that's fine in my book. I see that as no different than the people who use the on-screen cue to see if a ball is visible etc. Would love to play carom in practice with a ruler and a protractor and a pad of paper to see what run I could get!

Unfortunately there have,and most likely always will be some people who struggle to accept that their opponent is capable of a shot that they didn't even see, let alone think of trying.

It's a pity that you got such a reaction, but personally, I think it comes down to jealousy.

And Adam, why should people get suspicious if you are good at a particular shot...?! I think I'm better than average at plants, and get some that lots of players wouldn't ... should you be suspicious of me for that?
Some players know their angles, quite simply, and a good double is an excellent example.

Plants are easy, the shot described coming off 2 cushions out of a snooker is one which anyone will miss sometimes... .

If you could use a ruler and get the shot lined up, spin put on and the shot played all in 5 seconds that would be pretty impressive to be honest.
