I tend to get annoyed at players who make no attempt to get out of snooker but instead play into open table or other option because its safer.I tend to leave table at the end of game win or lose because in my view it borderlines cheating.I know the game allows it so not really cheating but does it make it ok?To me its cowardly others may think tactics. Im interested to know if Im in the minority and your views on why its ok or not ok.

You'll find many similar threads already.
I consider it cheating.
It is an illegal tactic in the clan league and we give penalties when we see it.
But outside of that, there's nothing you can do except what you have already done (not play the guy again).

you can put them back in as well. i don't like the tactic (guest gave away 48 points in fouls doing this) and i put them back in until they played a real shot

Nick (if he still runs the site) needs to put in the programme if possible the ability to make your opponent re-take the shot.
(not from where they just tap it into open play / safer area) we know there is a re-take option but make it from from the original shot position, must be hard to do though as i suppose he would have done so by now.

its not that, the code would need a referee to determine whether a) the easiest escape from the snooker and b) made a good enough attempt out of the snooker. For example you could hit 20 cushions, miss by an inch and still a miss since you could escape using 1 cushion.
not sure how easy the retake shot from position would be to implement since im not a coder. Jack_pot should know though.
i would prefer 'free ball' more than most things. For example if you need 2 snookers, you put opponent in one, they miss and get snookered again and since they cannot see both sides of object ball you can take a colour as a red to prevent the second snooker.
to nominate a ball right click (or left if you use right button to shoot) << not implemented in case people try this lol

Maybe Nick can be the virtual referee then, white gloves, the works, or lets see if that woman ref with the mole on her face has some spare time

genuine question here.
if you can see red clearly and miss 3 times in a row does the game end on here? if not that should be there as well

and nominate a colour? or am i making this rule up? not 100% certain on snooker rules.

when your close to 2 colours (or it is touching ball) you have to nominate a colour.

In real snooker, if there is any doubt as to the colour you are playing for, you should nominate it. e.g. if you are snookered on all colours, or if there are 2 colours close to each other.
This rule is not appliicable, nor practical on funky snooker, as there is no referee to decide whether or not you made a legitimate attempt at playing for the colour you nominated.
