I see no point in playing in tournaments and then having the table rob you of victory with appalling lag - right in the middle of a good opportunity - handing easy wins to the opponent.

Happens too often - no more tournaments for me.

There is a high chance the lag is down to your internet and nothing to do with the site. If it was site related then everyone would be lagging.

Lots of people on here, including myself are experiecing lag, much more than ever. No lag when I quit funky.... also, when I clear down all non system tasks from the processor, it still only does it on here, so not my laptop... so I agree with mike... he's a right to be miffed.

Is there a particular advert causing more lag than most? They can always be looked at if so.

To be fair Jay it is his first post so even if it is a silly thread then i think we can forgive them since they might not know where to post etc.

It might not just be the internet (yes i have bad net) but normally its due to some adverts, on IE lately ive been able to change the Quality and Untick Play on some of them so its not animated anymore.

Lag can be caused by:

- Internet
- Adverts
- Java
- Too many windows open
- Too much crap on the laptop/pc

I still find it funny how much people are moaning about new posters, when infact the thread it spot on. People flame u for being "new" on every site where they feel a new guy comes and posts on "their territory", i wouldve made the same thread if I felt the problems were percistent as they are atm. The lag has worse now than 1 year ago. I tried it on several pc's including my new laptop which hasn't got "too much crap" on it. i7, 8gb ram, and the newest java version as per your own recommendations on this site... And still, the update lags. Sadly.

And while on point (the rudeness factor) a big number of opponents are becoming more rude and unfriendly. All acting like their Alex bloody Hurricane higgins. Verbal punches.

Get over that :)
