Obviously there have been a few tournament changes recently, one new tournament is the Arcade Topsy Turvey tournament. Although it's a bit late I like it. The concept is nice for a change, but still the final is only best of 1 so a bit of a lottery. I understand that its 'topsy turvey' so basically just the opposite of a marathon, but wouldnt it be fun to have one tournament a week with longer matches?

For example:

Saturday 3PM GMT
Arcade Major Tournament
All rounds up until quarter finals best of 5 games
Quarter finals + semi finals best of 7 games
Final best of 9 games

I know this will take very long but nobody is obligated to join, I just would like to see one tournament with long matches from start to finish and I think more people would.

I have put arcade down because I think that would be the best game for such a tourney, basically anyone can play arcade so it's more of a lottery than all other games.

Either saturday or sunday afternoon seems the best to me, as it will be a long tournament it shouldn't start too late and should be played on a day when most people are free.

Thoughts?

yeah i think that is a good idea. maybe the topsy turvey tourney dropped to 7pm as i cant finish it cause i go at ten and i know alot of people have school / work and have to go at those times so you would get more players at 7pm instead of half 9.

i'd like to compete in such a tournament but with some modification for the number of the frames. i suggest for the rounds up best of 3, for the quarter finals best of 4, for the semi finals best of 5 and for the final best of 6.

Hey Baff i guess this cant happen until next year some time because this would come under tourneys and you said you discuss tourney next year. So would this need to be discussed or would you be able to implement this soon?
