If you're gonna get so pedantic with the rules, it's probably fair to say that you can't actually be snookered in killer

That applies to the standard snooker games, team killer is clearly a different game and different rules apply. take it up with Seb if you want but i can guarantee you will get no points.

Until there are rules stating that, the Code of Conduct covers ALL games in the Snooker Clan League.

It clearly states you have to make an honest attempt. Which in this case, it wasn't.

In which case every player who doesn't attempt to pot a ball in carom should be suspended. As this is not the case, it cannot cover ALL games in the Clan League, so it can't be assumed that it covers killer.

'Hit' the ball. Not pot.

Killer

me vs w_hoolahan m_wood garethclin

They deliberate fouled, so we'll take the points, what ever they are.

9.0 Code Of Conduct
d) There are no "pushouts" in snooker. When snookered, make an honest attempt to hit a ball that is on.
Anything goes in team killer. It's been like that since the beginning...

The reason the rule is in place is that because Funky is unable to run the "replay shot" rule so exploiting this is bad sportsmanship. In Killer there is no replay shot rule so it's up to the player. You're a pool player, the deliberate foul in pool is an accepted tactic, it's exactly the same here. It requires a sacrifice on behalf of the player for benefit. It's just good play.

Can I see the rule that overrules '9.0 - d) There are no "pushouts" in snooker. When snookered, make an honest attempt to hit a ball that is on.' please.

You can't be snookered in killer, except on the knuckle.

That's a completely different sentence. There is a full stop there.

The first sentence states there are no pushouts.

A 'pushout' is playing a shot from a snooker without attempting to hit a ball. If the player isn't snookered, he can't play a pushout.

The first sentence states there are no push outs in snooker. No mention of funkysnooker . Merely background info
I'm just applying your own level of pedantry to this btw

First of all, this isn't pool. The rules are guidelines- convention is as important.

When we first brought out killer 2 years ago, we gave instructions about it, including what is allowed and what isn't. This was posted on the news thread and on every clan thread.
We have not posted it again every season, because by now, every clan that has at least one player that's been around should be aware of the team killer rules.

Here is a link, we can't make it clearer than that:
http://www.funkysnooker.com/thread/7708/clan-league-news/18#631759

We will not be coding every single potential eventuality in the rules.

Additional info for the killer games:

Anything goes!!
In team killer, safety taps, intentional fouls, etc. are all allowed and encouraged!
Anything that you need to do to win the game for your team.

Again, in the current rule set, can you show me the rule that states this please?

There are a number of things that aren't in the rules that are still in place here. Not every eventuality can and should be covered. Every clan is aware of the killer rules.
