Sam won the first with a nice 6 run after I managed 1 from my break. He then nearly completed the golden start after I only managed 1 from my next break but he missed on 4, I sneaked in a 5 run to take it to 6-4 and then he only managed 1 of the two points he needed to level the match at 1-1.
Frames 2,3 and 4 all went my way with a series of 2 and 3 runs to finish the frames quickly after Sam had some difficulty with his breakoff. Score 4-1.

Frame 5 was a classic however. Sam managed to find a break but then missed his next to go 1-0. I continued previous form and hit a 3 run to go to 1-3. Sam inched his way up to 4 while I failed to make any progress, score at 4-3 with Sam at the table. Sam finds his earlier form and bangs in a 6 run to take the score to 10-3, only for me to refind some form and hit a 7 run to level the frame at 10-10 after missing an easyish one for the frame. Sam had a narrow miss leaving me needing a point for the frame and I rolled a 9 run in to finish the frame 19-10.

Games were closer than the score makes out, if Sam hadn't missed 2 breaks it would have helped a lot! ggs mate.

I took the first one with a 6 run, he took the second with a 5 run (i think) and third to take a 2-1 lead, then I won the next 4 with a few 4 runs to win it. ggs mate.

result, I lost the lag, lost first game with a 6 run off break, hit back and won a couple of scrappy games but some top shots played by adam when no shot was on taking the match... worthy winner..... good games :)

Some pretty good frames in here, including one where we both hit runs but mine was 1 less than his! Both had one frame which we won via a fluke as well, mine the opening one and cliffy one later on to get me back haha. ggs mate!
