ive had this done on many occasions, people come to your table when it clearly states the high or lowing ratibng of ooponents u want to play! then becos u wont play them they tell you that they are gonna stay on ure table and minimise it so you have to leave ure own table... cant we have a "boot" button or something for when they do this?????? im so annoyed

Well not sure about a boot button that will feel a little unfair. However maybe a setting where u can put in the Max and Minimum rating in which people can enter... For example Rating 750-825 ... This way only people rated between those figures can enter. It would be a benefit to all, i feel if this was to be sorted, this would be the ideal way

This has been mentioned on pool many a time. It rarely happens to me but it has happened.
Best idea is to ask someone in the chat rooms, then invite them to a private table.
Also checking rank on all members in chat room is a way of cutting out the people taking over your room.
Personally, i would like it if the players rank appeared in the 'Private Message' window.

this keeps on happening - when i label my game as 800+ for example i still get loads 550-750 players and newbies. They don't leave either so I end up having to wait in the members bar for them to play so i can re make another room

Well what's wrong with playing them anyway?
I mean, you're chances of winning are high, so just play them, keep everyone happy.
NOTE: Opponents way...or the highway.

because you gain like 1 point for playing them and some 600 'newbies' are virtuoso standard and keep changing their accounts

Why not forget the points, and look at the lose-win ratio, i find it a lot better.

Win ratio is the only indication of a players skill, since rank is easily manipulaated.
Anyways, as those from pool will know, i spent a good part f last year keeping note of who entered a room called simply "OVER 800", and had only about 30-40 (the figures are over on the pool site) under 800 enter out of 1000 games.
However, to save Nick having to say it again and again, the reason the ranking system is the way it is, is so you can (and should) play everyone.

1. I very much doubt you sat there for 1000 games taking note of that
2. thats ridiculous I'm not going to play every one because frankly no offence to the 750 and below ranks, it is boring.
3. Mcq i dont really care about my win ratio - its the ranking that counts and no. of half centuries etc which determines the players skill.
4. I'm sure many other players who I regularly play signposting their games as 850+ for example agree

Also.... you can manipulate the the win-lose ratio as well spinner for example i could only play 700 and less ranked players and win the vast majority of them - so that is also inaccurate I've seen people do this before. Their ranking and win ratio's are both inaccurate accordin to the players ability

As for the "did i do it" thing, just go over to pool and you can read through last year, from when i'd played the first few games and on. I was bored, and had a lot of time to kill at that time, having something like that to do kept me sane!
Admin often watched (and played) too as there was an obvious intrest for them.
True, but you cant pick and choose which games count towards win percentage.
If Nick gets his way and all games become ranked, that will help to mean more.
An "average rank" covering the life of a player (i.e. not affected by re-setting) would be a nice additional stat.

Wasn't like that atal people! LOL!
Doesn't really apply the same to snooker anyways, since everyone seems to be over 800!
I know what you mean Magic, but you will remember Nick saying that ideally all games would be ranked. I've often wondered why he doesn't just do it!
Crusade is right tho, some people do object, however they are usually those who forget they can play as a guest if they just want a knock-about..
