Basically we need something else (other than intermediate/adept/pro etc) to call them during those first 50 games while the newbie adjustment is applied, so people know what they are..

Yeah, should be something to say about resetting, even if it was just:

Newbie(R), and it could maybe be Newbie(R2)-R2 is how many times the player has resetted, so for this one 2.

Or if it is just with the (R) it could have how many times the player has reseted on their profile.

Not negative atall! I like resetting, and the newbie status is essential, what people would like is something more obvious than having to check a users profile to see if they are a real newbie or not.

Not perfect, there is no perfect solution, a user could merely delete their username instead and regain the first newbie status.

Its a perfect solution to the reset issue. Remember though there can be many perfect solutions

Hopefully the option to delete will be removed in due course, as there have been many debates on this issue and getting rid of the option would cure all the problems.
