Nick, how come no emails are coming when new accounts are created? Is the email validation system broke?
(my bro is trying to remake but no emails come)

Have you waited 24 hours???

You should receive an account validation email detailing your username and password and an activation link. You will usually receive this email in a few minutes, but please allow up to 24 hours due to internet traffic.

Please check spam/bulk/junk folder. Some email providers (including Yahoo and AOL) incorrectly flag certain emails as junk and automatically remove it from your inbox. Please check all your folders if the email is not in your inbox. If you find the email, please click the validation link to complete the signing up process.

Yeh i already know, i registered an account a few days back and still nothin

check that you put the correct email address in character for character - i made a mistake and thought I had the same problem and had to change it afterwards so i could get the validation email

Yeah, make sure it is either .co.uk or .com if it is a new account. I have made that mistake before for other people. Yeah that link above is all you can use.

I already know what to do lol, it's nothing to do with me. its the funksnooker validation system thats down. Was wonderin if nick could fix it.

Is anyone else having a problem with it? I know i had about 3 people ask me why their validation hadn't come through yesterday. Most of the time it's because they don't check their junk folder or they entered the wrong email address.

Did you try re-sending the validation through the troubleshooter?

Could it be IP blocking?

Nick said in that recent update they would be coming down harder on multi users, so maybe if theres already an account logged in on that IP it just dumps the appplication?

My wife and i also play together on the same IP, and at lunchtime at work there are at least a dozen people who play regularly!

I didnt make it too clear there, by dump, i mean put aside for Admin approval, so you cant just create multiple accounts willy-nilly.

However, back to the subject, my wife just tried to register, and even after changing IP's it still hasn't sent anything. (yes i'm aware of the 24 hour thing but if its automated its usually pretty much instant)

Spinner, I've already asked Simon to have a word with Nick mate. And apparently it's working..but it obviously isn't.

Yep, i think there is a problem due mainly by the amount of pms im getting online asking whats the problem.

Spinner: a member of staff has already left a note for nick so hopefully the problem should be fixed shortly if this is the case.
