How about...
You could be able to choose from using the mouse up and down motion to being able to click on the power bar and choose your power on there!
It would stop mis-hits and reduce the lagg excuses down to nowt.
It could be possible.
your views cheers
flukey

Fair idea, but the game would become too easy I think!

I agree Stevo. On the face of it, its a good idea, but it would just conver FP into another one of the aim/pick your power games, of which there are plenty to choose from.
One of the great attractions of the FunkyBilliards games is the degree of actual physical dexterity required to play well.

Good in theory, and would help those with lag problems etc. but for those who dont have these problems, would be too simple

Actually i think it's a pretty good idea but as said, it makes the game a little too easy.
Solves part of the 'sticky mouse' excuse and the lag to possibly a small extent.
However, there is quite a difference between this idea and that of the current way. This means that making it an option would be a bad idea. Those who chose this method (in my opinion) would have quite an advantage on those who feel the current power input is more comfortable to them.
Also, the current method is more 'realistic' meaning that the power of the cue is powered by the timing, strength and speed of your movement. Whereas in this issue, it's only a matter of estimating the required power of the shot.
