Hey all.

Anyone think we could have an option to turn off them annoying announcements, such as "someone got a break of 404" or something.

It's not that they annoy me, i just find them irrelevant and maybe even spam!.

Thoughts?

i think this is a bad idea. and i think people will agree with me that it is good to see yr name and others at the bottom. A sense of achievment

Maybe if it was done for something like you only see your friends breaks or something, as I like to see my friends breaks come up, but I'm not too bothered about other peoples?

i'd like to see the arcade snooker announcements changed so that only breaks over 50 come up as the amount of 30 plus breaks coming up on arcade is ridiculous!

Half centuries plus, should be shown but not all those annoying 20 breaks on snooker and 30 breaks on arcade or maybe like mcquiston said an option to turn it on or off.

I don't like that idea poo_cue, I think 30 is fine, it is good for people who don't hit many halfs, but do get some decent breaks sometimes, and they think of it as an achievement to see their name at the bottom.

Though another idea along that line, you could select the minimum break that you would like to see an annoncement for.

Personally I don't find it annoying, just trying to think of ways round it for other people

well curtis mcquiston is just saying an OPTION for them to be turned off, like under game settings and that. just a box to click for announcements just like how you can view the results of all ranked games.

it can get annoying to people who for some reason are super easily distracted with the chat box. i agree with your curtis that turning them off all together is silly, but mcquiston's just putting an idea of an option to turn them off and on

...If we all had the option to turn them on or off, then you would have them on, whereas i would have them off.

But actual announcements such as tournament starts and advertising etc, would still remain there.

Personally i like this idea, and i reckon Nick should place it here as well as pool (for announcements on rack runs etc).

i understand that other people like the idea n i think it would come in handy for the people hu find it annoying.

well curtis we all appreciate your opinion, i just thought maybe your opinion was based on a suggestion to turn the announcements off for everyone permanently... which would be a very bad idea lol

i do agree that it shud be 30+ on original n 40+ on arcade

i love seeing other peoples high breaks and also like seeing my high breaks on their. And also if some1 got a really high break say the a 107 u wouldny no about it unless they were ure friends. And also how does this put players off?

well i'm not sure it really puts players off, but we do have some people who are severely put off by chatting in their chats (often times they move the window down so the chat is hidden), but i think its more of a crowding fact. the chat space is relatively small, and when you have 6 break announcements in a short time it can look a little overwhelming. its all just a matter of personal preference i think
