I remember a while back when if you were 885 on arcade snooker you were in the top 50. Now even if you are virtuoso you are not guaranteed of a place.

Also the top 10 used to consist of player 925+. Now you have to be at the very least 940 to stay in, in my opinion it is only encouraging some people to only play lower ranked players so that they can stay at the top. Are they just going to continue to increase?

Possibly, as peoples games improve. Who you play and what rank they are is irrelevant with edge modification.

I think all is well until people hit 1000, then a review maybe in need. On pool, when the new system was put in place there was a spurt but it evened itself out, as I think it will on snooker.

th higher rankings just make it moe of a challenge to get into the top 10/50. i like the way both arcade and original snookerare scored and it should be kept that way. and i dont think anyone will hit 1000 (hopefully)

im 935 and almost in the top 10 for overall which is very difficult to get to!!

no doubt players are improving on arcade snooker. however crusade mate i dont think playing lower ranked oponents is a good idea when youre high. i thought earlier oh i only need about 0.4 to get into second place played a 660 player and i lost. so much easier to lose against lower ranked players i find as you feel you can miss as many times as you like!

Some of the lower players shouldnt be that low, ive played a few before in frendlies and they pull out som shots that i havn't saw top players do.

ye i agree they must raise there game against the best players

i am in arcade snooker now but just killed my snooker rating so im way off now

Is it really neccessarry for people to delete so often? It looks so messy on the forums. The 'reset stats' feature ought to be enough no?

Anyway, sorry for going off subject, it's just something I've noticed a lot of recently.

the other annoying thing is that some people, not naming names, deliberately play easier opponents, get their rank really high to in the top 10, then dont play for ages until their rank finally comes down after ages. The top 10 looks like it is too easy to manipulate for the top players, and it gets really annoying to see someone gets to 960-80 odd then not playing for a while which means they stay at the top as only 1 point a day goes.

the other thing also is players are getting very good, often, you only need to let them in once and they clear up... they don't even have to be in the 900's players well under that are clearing up... If you can consistenly play good (which is impossible for me) thats the trick!!!

i know ppl who get in the top 10 and then create another name n do the same.. NOT NAMING NAMES
