i think you should be able to turn off the chat window if you want to during a game e.g if your opponent is being annoying in the chat window you turn it off & you dont see any conversation

or you could just ignore the user while cometing would make things a lot simpular mate.. but it could be a good idea but not 2 sure on that 1.

Think that is a good idea to be honest-am fed up with people talking while it is my go to try to put me off my shots. would be a nice option to have in my opinion.

How about a tick box similar to the one for supressing enter/leave room messages, but to supress chat in game.

That way you still see admin/game announcements but nothing else.

At the moment you can ignore the user as suggested, (but you may prefer a PM window you can check as you wish) or alternatively slide the game window down so the bottom is below the screen. However then you dont see the game announcements/invites either.

good ideas spinner but i like the table inthe centre of the screen + if you ignore user's im sure they canstill talk to you while you are in a game

Yeah like i said, the current work-arounds are far from ideal. Its been asked for quite often so an "option" system may come in future.
