Funky Snooker World Championship(arcade)

i was just wondering if we could have a Funky Snooker World Championship every year, i think it would be fun, here is some info about the Funky Snooker World Championship

1st round (first to 2)

2nd round (first to 3)

3rd round (first to 3)

quarter finals (first to 5)

semi finals (first to 6)

final (first to 8)

give me ut thourghts please

Wouldn't be a bad idea, as long as i won of course

Would take absolutely ages though, probably shorten it a bit would be good.

it has already been tried. Theres always too many unreliable players. With soooo many players it is doomed to fail

i think its a gr8 idea .how about u win it and u recieve loads of ranking points? obviously the higher the rank the less points u win. has this idea been said b4?

it wud be a brill idea then we would see hu the best player really iz lol bt it seems to be abit too long and wud take 4 ages!! maybe shorten it

i will play, but be warned fossy, i tried to make a funkysnooker world cup and i got to i think quarter's and everyone dropped out, but worth a go though

maybe do it like this:

Round one (firsst to 1)
Round two (first to 1)
Round three (first to 1)
Quarter finals (first to 3)
Semi final (first to 5)
Finals (first to 7)

you will obviously be thinking, why first to 1 in the first 3 round's, this is just basically because, these round's there will be people involved that you carn't really rely on, then in the quarter's, semi's and the final there will be the better players who can withhold say 6, 10, 14 games at one time.

I am just pointing out that having 3 rounds then the quarters, Semis then the final will mean having a total of 64 players involved which is far to much.

First round - 64 players, 32 go out

Second round - 32 players, 16 go out

Third round - 16 players, 8 go out

Quarter finals - 8 players, 4 go out

Semi finals - 4 players, 2 go out

Finals - 2 players, 1 goes out

So in my opinion, Asking for 64 players to join is a little to much, I'm not saying 64 players wouldn't join but you would need around a month two months for the places to be taken up. I was thinking, Cut a round out and only have 32 players join?, This is still a lot to ask but for a world cup you carn't have 16 players as it would end far to quickly.

This is how i think it should be run:

Round one (Best of one frames, Three days to finish)

Round two (best of 3 frames, Three days to finish)

Quarter finals (best of 3 frames, Three days to finsh)

Semis finals (best of 5 frames, Three days to finish)

Finals (best of 5 or 7 frames, Two days to finish)

So, The way this has been set out is you have TWO weeks to get the compotition finished, Contains 32 players which makes 2 rounds, the match length isn't to long or to short except the semi and finals as by this stage it will be the better players who are competing!.

The way i have set it all out is just a rough idea of how it should be run, If you need me to i will make it a little more detailed ect. But as i am not running this it is not guarenteed to be the lay-out.

Oh, Also if you need me to i will make a site, Help run the fixtures and keep track on the results for you aswell fossy?, And i was think i will make another thread and make it official then as soon as we have 32 players i'll post the site.
