I cant see the whole fuss about what Stevie G said to the referee, for all you know he could have said
"I was through on goal there ref". Would he be in the wrong if he just said that.
Is that worse than all the lip Rooney, Smith, Bellamy and co give to refs every single week. When players surround referees giving out about something.
Its not as if Stevie was shouting and screaming about it.

Anyway Liverpool got robbed earlier in the season with Chelseas dodgy penalty and at Bolton last year when linesman accused Reina of being outside the box.

Luck goes around in circles, Liverpool deserved their first penalty and Hibbert deserved to be sent off. After that Liverpool dominated the game and deserved the win. It would have been an injustice if Everton got a point.

The fuss about the Gerrard thing is that the referee had a yellow card out and as soon as Gerrard walked past and uttered a few words he put the yellow away and bought out the red card...

tom tom tom nowt wrong with a lil word in the refs ear its up to the ref at the end of the day what action he takes.

At the end of the day the ref should have known last man back.Foul in the box is a pen and a red card! If the ref had forgot i take my hat off to stevie for reminding him whats the rules are!!

Yes it was a penalty, and yes it should have been a red card, but only if that's what the referee thought it should be. He had a yellow card in his hand to give to Hibbert, but then as soon as Gerrard had walked past and said something he put it away and pulled out the red. Players aren't supposed to influence the referee, and if they try to do so they can be booked themselves, and definitely the referee shouldn't be influenced by players and change his mind.
