What do u think about the game draw system instead of RESPOT....

i dont like it to be honest. I really dont see the need of a draw but i do agree that there needs to be a solution for who takes the respot shot so maybe a coin flip or something like that ?

i think wen a respot has happened both players should be able to hit the ball up and down the table and see who gets closest to the bulk cusion
they do this in televised pool matchs to see who breaks.
This is a fair method and involves skill

11:47 Fri 26 Oct 07 (BST) [Link] Best idea i have heard but people will practice over and over again so maybe make the ball appear in a different starting place and u have too bounce it off the bottom cushion and get close too the top

just wondering how they decide who starts in real snooker? I reckon they've put more thought into it than we have...

I think its mostly a coin flip. A random number select would be easier to program than the up/down idea, although that would be a cool addition.
I agree the respot taker should be totally random

yeah i like the lag idea of hitting it back and tryin to get nearest to the baulk line, its more of a pool thing but would be good if we had it

Or why not just place the black on to the bottom cushion, makes it almost impossible to pot.

This would just be the opposite of the problem. Because nobody would want the first shot because the first shot is likely to leave the black ball over the pocket and on for and easy pot.

How about the idea of the black ball, once respotted, being placed on the back cushion.....therefore it is near impossible to pot from the respot.......
More safety play would be involved and the first player to take a shot cannot pot from the respot.......
cheers

Yeh exactly the same as ive just said mate. nobody would want the first shot so that would be the new problem im fully backing the random idea mate fairest way to go about it.

I have already said about using the lagg (which not many agreed on at the time) but now everyone is keen on it?, So with it being a computerised game we carn't have flip a coin as i think that would be to hard to implement, if not impossible to.
So i honestly think it would be easier and more efficient to just install the lagg, Even if people o practice it day in day out what does that matter?, They are practicing both the snooker games day in day out but you all still play each other so surely this isn't going to effect anything?.
