Instead of player of the month award, how about a ranking table, like the ones we already have, showing whos playing the best. This doesnt necassarily mean the highest rank.
It could incorporate things like winning streaks, high breaks etc and determine whos playing the best, moving them up and down the ranking table. And of course the table would be constantly updating, eliminating the need for the player of the month award

This sounds like a good idea, although I think it would be pretty tough to implement, seeing as you are looking at coding all of the stats into one, I'm not completely sure...

thats a gd idea but it will most likely be the same sort of people that will win it each month people may get funny about it e.g. think it wont be fair hope u understand where i am coming from

Its not something to win mate. Look on the rankings and it'll be a table like that, constantly updating. And as far as winning streaks go as well, i think an intermediate to get a 5 game winning streak against a pro is more impressive than a pro getting a ten game winning streak against an intermediate.

Its not necassarily to show whos the best, since we already have that, but to show whos playing the best at the moment. For example, if someone was to jump from 550 points to 650 points, this would be a huge achievement and would show how well they are playing. However, since the ranking tables dont go that low, they wouldnt get any recognition for it

Jumping 100 is points is not the most difficult thing to do so I think it should be if they jump those 100 points from 550 to 650 and stay there.

Yeah, totally agree its a great idea... as long as its not opened to newbies as it's guarenteed to be fake newbies up the top, from 675 to 850...

I think it would have to be open to everybody tbh. Making it so newbies arent involved would probably be harder to code then just doing the thing as a whole. Also, it wouldnt really be fair to those newbies who are genuine.
Another thing i have found with fake newbies, is that they delete after a few weeks anyway. So i dont think fake newbies would be much of a problem.

I think the player of the month could be selected by organizing a monthly voting process. All users can vote their 3 favorites, and top voted player is the player of the month.
