No disrespect to the low rank players but i feel 500s and 600s and maybe some 700s should feel glory 2, so i say change the break

500,600 30+ for annoucment
700,799 40+ " "
800,849 50+ " "
850,900+ 70+ " "

may help low rankers to get better with more confidence and help virtuosos get higher halfs maybe even cents

I think it's a great idea.... the only problem being 'fake newbies' (in a sense), good people who have reset will get a lot of announcements.

then ull no who is actually a fake newbie in that aspect

brill idea !!!! im sure there could be away around fake newbies, like if they reset they cant have announcments til they get back to what they were or summat. Its a brilliant idea tho m8

This really is a well thought out idea and i hope to see it in the future. Obviously over say.. 900 players would have to get over a 70 or summat but the half cents would still go ur stats.

IMO 50s are fine for announcements, maybe somethg could be done for lesser ranked players which you said above.

but punishng virtuoso's may not be fair, a 50 is a good achivement and deserves an announcement no matter what your rank i think ..

so lower the required break for an announcement to 30+ for newbies/people below 650, but keep the 50+ announcement for everybody?

I agree with chris on this one what have the so called lower ranked players of this website got to aspire to if they know they can get a announcement with a low break. I think it will take the fire out of getting a half century for the lower ranked palyers it will be like "oh I have an anouncement that'l do" which effectively will decrease the skill level of the site having people being happy with lower breaks.

same. What about people who dont play ranked games and just play tournys and/or friendlys. Probably not as many as over on pool thinkin bout it but id imagine there must be a few people who are really good players and have a rank of 675?

Maybe instead of changing the announcements you could just add a new one, so when lower ranked players get, say for example, their tenth break over 25, they get an announcement saying "example1 just hit their tenth break of over 25 points".

Great idea, there must be way more low ranked players than those in the 900s, so most of the people on the site would benefit.

I like the idea, Maybe have it something like this:

500-700: 30+ break
700-850: 40+ break
850-900+: 50+ break

That way it's more realistic, The high professionals and virtuoso's keep there desired 50+ break as an achievement, The lower ranked players such as 700-850 have to only get 40 breaks, As i still think getting a 40+ break is a good achievement also considering the ranking abilities and then for 600-700 they have to get a break of 30 or more to get an announcement.

I prefer that lay out as getting a fifty is still a good achievement so i feel making that to 70 would be to extreme as it's not that often you see someone getting a 50+ break.

Actually the announcements were limited to 50+ breaks a few months ago, due to too many announcements making the server lag. So if we want to bring the limit back to a lower value, maybe it will bring some server lag back. Just in case noone else had thought of it

Great idea, not sure how good an idea this is but if someone has over a certain number of half cents then theirs don't get announced and lower ranked players get 30 or 40 point breaks announced
