do something mr mods or admins, for the players who leave the games for the disconnection or whatever, and give them 2/3 mins a chance to return in their games, so the game will be continue ,its a better suggestion which is never be discussed....

The whold point of the 1/8, 2/8, 3/8 etc. is to give them a chance to reconnect (which is more than enough time I think). If they leave for any other reason it is their fault I'm afriad.

I dont know exactly how long that 1/8, 2/8, 3/8 actually is (are they minutes?) But in total they accumalte more than 2/3 mins.

yup more than enough time... mine funnily enough logs me out at 6/8...

ive noticed that sometimes the disconnection thing (1/8, 2/8 etc) is proper slow and sometimes its rapid.

dont know why but theres a thread on pool that has suggested a way of being able to re-enter say a tourny game if your computa freezes and u have to reboot. So youd get like 3 mins or sumthing to log back in and carry on rather than losing what might be your first ever final that you are winning and then get DQD for disconnection.

When pool is back up ( for some reason the server is having problems or undergoing maintenance according to the message i see when i try and go on the homepage) ill post the link

Those are the connection attemts your computer is making to connect to the server.

Each system is different, for example if i stopped responding on my old connection, then switching the modem off and on again re-established the connection.

Well when i get the 1/8, 2/8, i just close all other browser windows (keeping snooker up) and it reconnects me pretty much instantly after the last one is closed.

ok that's alrite 1/8 to 6/8 is helping us to reconnect ,it takes 3 and a half mins i noticed,
BUT.......
WHAT if our applet is closed accidently or and we open it again n want to rejoin our game ,and our oppenent to whom we were playing is still in the game frame ...so that the game will be continue.. if this will be happen ..then i think we can save our abundond games and ratings tooo...

I think what dervesh wants is a system which protects the players not only from the network problems, but also for any other problem (computer crash, power cut, ...) so that in any case he could for example reboot his computer and rejoin the game.

i think if its the "servers" fault, ranks should remain the same but if a players computer crashes his/her component should win the game and recieve the points immediatly. nothing worse than waiting for sombody to reconnect!

Why when you are disconnected from a game by that 1/8...2/8 thing it goes down as an abandoned game? I would have virtually none abondoned if it wernt for d/c! I guess that people will say but what if a player purposley loses connection to leave a game etc. Well it would be because they are just sad. Well my point is simply that i think if you genuinley get disconnected from a game then it shouldnt go down as aboandoned.

Yup I agree with Jay, it happens to me about every 2 hours and I don't know when it is going to happen. It would be great

thats the pool thread i mentioned- i think its a brill idea as much like lyle it can happen any time to me without warning.
Its frustrating if as soon as the game logs u out the computer connects again and you have still lost

I want to bring this up again. Its still constantly happening to me and its unbelievable how many times I've been DQ'ed in the tourneys because of it. As for what Josh said, 1/8, 2/8, 3/8 doesn't matter for me because when 1/8 comes up I lose connection all together and have to restart my PC.
